Ashbourne Rugby Club was conceived by eight founding fathers, in the Local hall in Ashbourne, in September 1974.

Bandon Rugby Football Club was established in 1882. The Rugby Club facilities, which comprise a Pavilion and 3 full size pitches is located a mile on the Clonakilty side of Bandon Town at Oldchapel.

Barnhall RFC is a rugby club set up in 1969. It is situated between Leixlip and Celbridge in County Kildare and caters for underage, schoolboy, and senior teams. The first team play in Division 3 of the All Ireland League sposored by Allied Irish Banks.
