Athlone IT Student Union Website

The structure of the Union is based upon the Constitution of the Students' Union of Athlone I.T. which derives its authority from the student body. was founded in August 2005 as an interactive tool for the collection of Nature's Calendar or phenology observations. It grew from a simple flash based map (which is still with us) to using Google maps to collect data from the public.

St. Brigid's or the Red Brick Building as it was familiarly known was built in 1940/1941 and was used as a Novitiate for the Marist Sisters.
